Life comes at us at full force. Bills stack up, as life throws curve ball after curve ball. These situations cause us to make 1 of 3 choices:
1.) Freak out, get scared and worry about everything.
2.) Ignore it and hope that everything gets better.
3.) Trust in God that he will provide our needs according to his glory.
In all honesty, I can say that numbers 1 and 2 are very common to me. I frequently find myself in the shadow of fear while deciding to ignore the reality of my life. I watch my life crumble as the devil chuckles in the background. Is this situation common to you? When the situation seems hopeless what do you do? Did you know that this is the very situation that God wants to be Lord of? Did you know that he is called Lord for a reason?
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
11 “All who rage against you
will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
those who oppose you
will be as nothing and perish.
12 Though you search for your enemies,
you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you
will be as nothing at all.
13 For I am the LORD your God
who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
I will help you.
We have to understand that when God says “I will” he means it. He doesn’t say “If you do this, that, and this. I might…” God says “I will”. So remember, it’s about Faith not works so that no one can boast. How can we choose to remain in this unfaithful state of mind? Where God is light-years away and we scramble for some material way to make our situation better.
Will we choose to trust God in everything today? Will we trust him that he will be with us and he will help us through this life? This decision to trust in God is what touches his heart the most. He wants us to give ourselves fully so that he can reveal his love and power to us and others. After all, this is the way everything was in the beginning right? An almighty friend, desperately loving and longing for his creation.
If you choose to trust him today, please considering sharing with us.
